A few announcements for Seniors about scholarships:

·         There are contests for scholarship money at RLC tonight for Ag Business, Ag Production & Management, Diesel Technology, Heavy Equipment Technology, and Graphic Design.  You can register with just a phone call. Mrs. Kissner has said that we’ve had lots of past winners. If you need more information, please see Mrs. Braddock.

·         The WCHS Scholarship Foundation applications are due soon.  There is still time to fill one out.  Mrs. Kissner says that you can still turn it in on Tuesday.  If you need a copy of the application, please pick one up in the office.

·        Please remember that the WADI scholarship applications need to be turned in to the Fairfield office today or tomorrow.

Wayne City Scholarship Foundation is having a raffle fundraiser.  There is a contest to see who can sell the most raffle tickets and the student that sells the most tickets gets a prize.  If you need tickets, please come to the office. Please have the tickets and money turned in by April 25th.  Colt Henson is still in the lead. 

Any Apologetix member that is planning to go to the movies on Monday with the Apologetix group, please see Mrs. Mays by the end of school today.

There will be FCA pizza today for lunch.

Today is the last day to sign up for cheerleading tryouts.  If you are interested in being a cheerleader next year, please sign up in the office.

Sports pictures are in.  If you ordered Softball or Baseball pictures, please pick them up in the office.

Any HS student interested in helping with summer ball please see Angie Kelly today.

The following students need to see Mrs. Slover ASAP regarding overdue library books:  Lily Borah, Taylor Catron, Noah Cooper, Morgan Hite, and Jaxson Youngblood.

There is a student council meeting in Ms. Smith’s room now.

There is a History Club meeting for everyone going on the trip in the performance gym now.

FCCLA's TexasRoadhouse rolls & butter will be delivered today before school is out and some will be delivered tomorrow.  Make arrangements to pick them up today or tomorrow after school.

Senior FFA members, if you applied for the Alumni scholarship, there will be interviews this evening at 7pm. You must be in official dress.

Congratulations to the Livestock Judging team for placing 16th and the Horticulture team for placing 15th on Friday at District 5 Competition. A big congratulations to Colt Henson for placing 3rd individually out of 367.

There is no FCA today due to testing at the church

FCCLA will be delivering Easter bags to the residents of Golden Acres after school.  See Mrs. Miller if you can volunteer.

There are some changes to the dates and times for HS Cheer tryouts due to the History Club trip on the 23rd. If you’ve signed up to tryout, please stop by and pick up the new flyer.  The new schedule is as follows:

April 24- Wed 4:30-6pm 1st meeting & practice.
April 25-Thurs 5:30-7 2nd practice
April 27- Saturday 8:30-10am TRYOUTS

Due to the History Club trip not returning until approximately 8pm on the 23rd, there are some changes to the dates and times for HS Cheer tryouts. The new schedule is as follows:

April 24- Wed 4:30-6pm 1st mtg & practice.
April 25-Thurs 5:30-7 2nd practice
April 26- Saturday 9-11am TRYOUTS

Interested in being a cheerleader next year? Tryouts are later this month.  There will be tryout practice on April 23rd & 24th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and tryouts will be on April 25th from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The deadline to sign-up for tryouts is April 17th. The sign-up sheet is in the office.

Attention Juniors: Don’t forget that tomorrow is SAT testing day.  Please meet in the library by 7:45 in the morning and don’t be late!

History Club members going on the Springfield trips need to turn in their permission slips to Mr. Choate today.  If it is not turned in today you will not be allowed to go on the trip.

If you haven’t filled out the information card for the Wayne County Press Graduation issue, please see Mrs. Braddock as soon as possible.

Congratulations, Bryon Withrow.  You have won a $1000 scholarship to Rend Lake College from Black Diamond Harley Davidson!

FCCLA Texas Roadhouse roll orders & money are due today.  Turn them into Mrs. Miller by the end of the day and also let Mrs. Miller know if you did not sell any.
