-The Student Council is looking for the following class donations for MORP: Freshmen: marshmallows, Soph: soda--bottles or cans (no 2 liters), Juniors: bottled water, Seniors: chips or cookies. Your name will be put in a drawing for a 10.00 gift card when you bring your donation. Bring to Ms. Smtih's room anytime.

-FFA is selling pork chop sandwiches, chips, and a drink for $5 today during lunch.

-Juniors, make sure to pay Mrs. Kissner the $12 for your tshirt asap.

-Next week is Battle of the Classes. Monday is class pride day.

-The freshmen class will be having a meeting in Mrs. Beehn's room during now. All freshmen need to attend.  

-There is a junior class meeting for those involved in the run out for battle of the classes in the competition gym now.

-Congratulations to the following Wayne City High School Beta Club members: Shauna Roesch, Rylee Greenwalt, Chasidy Greenwalt, Molly McNeil, Nate Barbee. These students qualified for nationals in Savannah, GA next summer in the Rapid Response competition last week at the leadership summit held on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Great Job!

-Don’t forget that next week is MORP Spirit week. We are starting off on Monday with Pajama Day. Tuesday will be Gender Swap Day, Wednesday is Workout Day, and Thursday is Throwback Thursday. Have fun, but remember that you must still follow dress code for all these days!!!

-There is no FCA today due to PSAT testing being done at the church. We will have it next Wednesday.  The following need to pay Mrs. Miller $5 for your FCA tshirt:  Abby Bowsher, Travis, Marcus, Jaxon, Dane, Adam & Isaac. 

-If you have not turned in your parent teacher conference forms yet, make sure to turn them in to either the office or your 3rd hour teacher. Today is your last chance.

The Student Council will be hosting MORP, a casual dance, Friday, Oct. 20th from 7-10 p.m.  MORP Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Oct.10th. MORP Voting will be Oct. 13.  If you plan to bring a non-Wayne City High School student, please see Ms. Smith for a permission slip. Permission slips must be returned to Ms. Smith by Monday, Oct. 16. Your guest will not be allowed in that night if you have not turned in the slip by this date.

SHOTS FIRED: We do not have the exact numbers at this point but it is obvious the Freshman have started out strong in the Penny War.  Their surprise offensive has the other three classes reeling right now.  The Sophomores and Seniors have had absolutely no response as their forces are getting decimated on the field.  The Juniors, however, have answered with some spirited volleys of their own but it has not been enough so far.  The freshmen hold the high ground and look to continue their offensive tomorrow to claim the victory and the pizza.  Updates will be made as the reports come in!

Seniors
-RLC is hosting two events on Saturday, October 7th.  9 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Preview Day allows students to check out RLC programs, take tours of campus led by RLC faculty in your area of interest, learn about financial aid, have a chance to win giveaways, and enter for a chance to win a scholarship. Pre-registration is not required.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Prospect Day is for student athletes interested in becoming an athlete at RLC. Students will hear what it is like to be a student athlete at RLC from a former and current student athletes, take a tour, eat lunch, visit Preview Day, and break into individual sport clinics in the afternoon.

-The FFA will be selling from now until October 6. Ribs will be cooked and distributed on October 14 at the Methodist Church parking lot. 

-If any FFA member is interested in Section Job Interview, please sign up in the ag classroom. The competition is on Tuesday, October 17 at 5pm at Wabash Valley College. 

Seniors
-RLC is hosting two events on Saturday, October 7th.  9 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Preview Day allows students to check out RLC programs, take tours of campus led by RLC faculty in your area of interest, learn about financial aid, have a chance to win giveaways, and enter for a chance to win a scholarship. Pre-registration is not required.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Prospect Day is for student athletes interested in becoming an athlete at RLC. Students will hear what it is like to be a student athlete at RLC from a former and current student athletes, take a tour, eat lunch, visit Preview Day, and break into individual sport clinics in the afternoon.

Mason Building Room 25! * Parents and students are encouraged to attend this event if they would like help filling out the FAFSA. The 2018 – 2019 FAFSA will use prior-prior year data (2016). Please make sure you bring your social security numbers (both parents and students - you may find these on your tax forms) and 2016 income tax information.
