-Please purchase your MORP tickets after school today or anytime tomorrow. Ms. Smith has testing and will not be able to sell in between classes or during Activity Period today. Also, don’t forget to bring your own lawn chairs to MORP.

-Because there is no school the next 2 Fridays, Apologetix will meet on Thursday morning instead.

-Drama Club will meet tomorrow at 3:30 on the stage.

-Seniors, if you have signed up to work at the parent-teacher conference dinner tonight, be there at 3:15 with a dessert.Also, Mrs. Fagan has a few spots available Sunday at the race-track from 5-8 for any senior wanting to raise more money for DC.

-TODAY at 3:30 we will have a presentation in the Distance Learning Computer Lab to tell you nearly EVERYTHING you need to know about FINANCIAL AID for college.  Rachel Sveda-Webb will be here to assist you with all of your questions!  Find out what you need to know to see if you are eligible for FREE money for college and get tips for scholarships!

-Sophomores, Class Rings are in the office.

-Juniors, your Battle of the Classes tshirt order and money is due today. See Gracie Musgrave.

-Don’t forget that next week is MORP Spirit week. Tomorrow is Gender Swap Day. Remember the dress code and appropriate behavior according to the handbook.

-Reminder to FCCLA members that your Regional meeting permission slip and $15 is due today.

-Student Council is looking for an emcee for MORP, if you are interested please sign up at Ms. Smith's door. Tryouts are at lunch in Ms. Smith's room Tuesday. 

-MORP ATTENDANTS: Please return your questionnaire to Ms. Smith by end of the day Tuesday. 

-Congratulations, Quinn Kidd! You are the Class of 2018 WCHS Dar Award Winner for good citizenship!  Quinn was nominated by faculty and staff and selected by the seniors to represent WCHS.  Congrats also go out to Bradley Braddock and Lucy Smith who were also nominated.  Quinn, go to Guidance for your scholarship application packet.

-Congratulations to the following Wayne City High School Beta Club members: Shauna Roesch, Rylee Greenwalt, Chasidy Greenwalt, Molly McNeil, Nate Barbee. These students qualified for nationals in Savannah, GA next summer in the Rapid Response competition last week at the leadership summit held on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University. Great Job! 

 

Other News

-If you ordered, please pick up your 2016-17 yearbook in Mrs. Keen's room. They are $40.00. Extra books are still available in limited supply. 

-The Student Council is looking for the following class donations for MORP: Freshmen: marshmallows, Soph: soda--bottles or cans (no 2 liters), Juniors: bottled water, Seniors: chips or cookies. Your name will be put in a drawing for a 10.00 gift card when you bring your donation. Bring to Ms. Smtih's room anytime.

-If any FFA member is interested in Section Job Interview, please sign up in the ag classroom. The competition is on Tuesday, October 17 at 5pm at Wabash Valley College. 

Seniors
-Are you trying to complete your 2018 – 2019 FAFSA? Get help! Frontier Community College FAFSA Completion Event: October 4, 2017 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Richard L. Mason Building Room 25! * Parents and students are encouraged to attend this event if they would like help filling out the FAFSA. The 2018 – 2019 FAFSA will use prior-prior year data (2016). Please make sure you bring your social security numbers (both parents and students - you may find these on your tax forms) and 2016 income tax information.
