-If your book is missing from the top of your locker, they were moved due to the reunion tours this weekend. Let this be a reminder: Do not leave your things here over the weekend!!! You can find your books under the fire extinguisher by the boys bathroom in the high school hallway.

-The FFA will be selling ribeye sandwiches on Tuesday during lunch.

-There is a sign up sheet in Mrs. Milller's room for FCA tshirts.  The cost is $5 and it is due by Oct. 4th.

-See You at the Pole will be Wednesday at 7:00am in the gym. Donuts will be provided.

-Apologetix is hosting a game night on September 29th at 6:30. Free pizza and Rhonda Willet desserts will be served! Everyone is welcome, but please sign up in Mrs. Mays’ room.

-If you ordered, please pick up your 2016-17 yearbook in Mrs. Keen's room. They are $40.00. Extra books are still available in limited supply. 

-The librarian from Rend Lake College will be here in Ms. Smith's room Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.She will teach students how to use the electronic library for research purposes. Any student CURRENTLY enrolled in a dual-credit class may attend if they have permission from their second hour teacher. 

-Attention FCCLA members!  Your Pampered Chef orders AND money are due by this Thursday.  Our consultant will be here Thursday after school to pick them up.  

-There will be Student Council meetings in Ms. Smith's room Tuesday and Friday.

-Any art club members interested in decorating windows at the school are asked to please meet in the art room directly after school on Thursday, September 28.

-There is a prom meeting on Tuesday, September 26 at 6pm in the library. This meeting is for all parents and students interested in helping with prom.

-The following seniors still have either forms or a $75 deposit due from last week.  If you want to go on the trip, turn these now to Mrs. Fagan: Hayden Gire, Remington Henson, Alexis Whitlow, Karissa Young, Andrew Edwards, Remington Embry, Shiann Austin, Hunter White, Harley Stewart, Braxton Price, and Eri and Savanah Guilmot.

-Also, the following seniors still have discount cards out and need to turn them in today: Alexis Whitlow, Hunter White, Braden Weccele, Harley Stewart, Lucy Smith, Jaxon King, Hayden Gire, Abby Bowsher, Shiann Austin

Other News

-Mr. Choate is now accepting History Club Dues.  To join the club dues are only $5.00.  You have until Wednesday Oct. 11 to pay your dues.

-Looking to be a crowd stopper at Halloween? Looking for just the right thing to tie your Halloween look together perfectly? Why not add a bit of special effects make-up to the look and make your costume pop! See Cheyanne Fenton before the end of September for more details or to make an appointment.

-FFA members, don't forget to pick up your rib sale sheet in the ag classroom. We will be selling from now until October 6. Ribs will be cooked and distributed on October 14 at the Methodist Church parking lot. 

-The Rend Lake College PSB entrance exam dates for Certified Medical Assistant, Radiology, and Nursing have been published.  Students may test once per semester.  As in the past, students (or someone on their behalf) must come to campus to pre-register and pay the $30.00 fee. The link  has sample test questions for the HOAE (Radiology and CMA) and APNE (Nursing) test. 

-RLC is hosting two events on

Saturday, October 7th.  

9 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

Preview Day allows students to check out RLC programs, take tours of campus led by RLC faculty in your area of interest, learn about financial aid, have a chance to win giveaways, and enter for a chance to win a scholarship. Pre-registration is not required.

10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Prospect Day is for student athletes interested in becoming an athlete at RLC. Students will hear what it is like to be a student athlete at RLC from a former and current student athletes, take a tour, eat lunch, visit Preview Day, and break into individual sport clinics in the afternoon.

-Are you trying to complete your 2018 – 2019 FAFSA? Get help! Frontier Community College FAFSA Completion Event: October 4, 2017 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Richard L. Mason Building Room 25! * Parents and students are encouraged to attend this event if they would like help filling out the FAFSA. The 2018 – 2019 FAFSA will use prior-prior year data (2016). Please make sure you bring your social security numbers (both parents and students - you may find these on your tax forms) and 2016 income tax information.
