-Today's FFA trivia question for non-FFA members........Name a popular movie in which an FFA jacket has been seen? All trivia winners throughout the week will be entered into a special drawing, to be held on Friday afternoon. 

-FFA will be selling pork chops, chips, and a drink for $5 on Friday.

-Students, if you are wanting to attend the Apologetix movie night on Sunday, please sign up in Mrs. Mays’ room.

-FFA members, if you are interested in going to State Convention, please sign up in the Driver's Ed room. The dates are June 12-14

-Prom tickets are on sale. $25 for single $40 for a couple. Post Prom permission slips and Prom Guest permission slips are now available in the office. Male Connection will be here for tux fittings on March 7th at 9am.

-History Club Trivia Night is this Saturday, February 24.  Remember, official school groups and clubs get half off team entry fee.  Enter your team Saturday! History Club, wear your tshirts to the Trivia Night. 

-Drama club, the advertising team is meeting today at 3:30 in Mrs. Noatch’s office. Bring your poster and tshirt designs.

-There will be a mandatory meeting for all students attending state convention Monday in the performance gym. All students attending state convention must attend this meeting.

-Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors, turn in your Youth to Springfield and Washington applications on or before Tuesday, February 27.  Representatives will be selected from among the applications received. We have a total of four spots available.

-There will be softball practice from 3:30-5:30 today and Friday.

-Seniors, there are several deadlines approaching next week: Farm Credit, Odd Fellow Rebekahs, AMVETS, Foundation for Rural Service, Rend Lake College, Peoples National Bank, and more!  We have had previous winners on most all of these, and we would love to see you cash in, too!

-There are some great local scholarships worth checking out like the Carline Collins Scholarship, the New Hope General Baptist Scholarship.

-There is a meeting of Educators Rising in the cafeteria at this time.  This is the free club for students interested in becoming educators - teachers, school nurses, social workers, counselors, psychologists, physical therapists, speech therapists, etc.  Join online at

-Juniors and Seniors going to Beta Convention, see Mrs. Emery now.

-It's easy money, but we can't do it alone! Congratulations, WCHS! We've earned $373 in the Get Schooled College Challenge by:






We get points which turn in to dollars for EACH of those things! (By the way, we are ranked 14th in the Nation!) Why quit now? We can earn $2000! Students, Educators, and Parents, log on and help a school out!

-Seniors, start thinking about baby pictures for the Senior slide show! We will need 2 younger pictures and one current.  Turn them in to Mrs. Noatch or Twilla.

-Dental Safari is March 6th. Forms are in the office.

-Fairfield First United Methodist Church is having their annual Prom Dress giveaway on Saturday, March 3rd from 9am-noon. A variety of formal dresses, bouquets, and accessories will be available for you to choose from free of charge!

-Any FFA members who would be interested in FFA Leadership camp, please sign up in the Drivers Ed room. Camp will be July 24-27 in Monticello.
