Hello, I'm Matthew Noatch the science teacher at Wayne City High School. Science is my passion. I love to explore how the world works, and I am always looking for ways to use my understanding of science to make life easier, more fulfilling, and more enjoyable. I grew up in the St. Louis area with my parents and two younger brothers. I have known since my freshman year of high school that I wanted to work in the field of science. Later on I attended Missouri State University and then Southern Illinois University of Carbondale to learn about biology and zoology. I worked for a short time as a research biologist before deciding the time was right to become a teacher and share my knowledge of science with others. I'm honored to call Wayne City High School home!
I am a fan of St. Louis sports (go Cardinals)! My favorite color is red, my favorite food is just about any Chinese dish, and my favorite vacation destination is Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. I am a huge fan of any outdoor activity and an avid fisherman. My favorite animal is a 10 lb largemouth bass on the end of my fishing line! In what little free time I have I enjoy visiting good friends in Carbondale, Illinois.
