Seniors: There is a graduation breakfast at the First Christian Church on May 2.  It starts at 7am.  If you and your family are planning to attend, today is the last day to sign up.

Seniors: Baccalaureate practice will be held after the graduation breakfast on Thursday, May 2nd at 8 am. Baccalaureate is on Sunday, May 5th at 6pm at the Church of the Harvest.  If you are planning to attend, please let me know.  Please do not go to the practice if you aren’t planning on going to baccalaureate.

FFA will be selling loaded baked potatoes on Friday for $5. Please make sure you are signed up by Thursday.

Beta Club members going to King’s Island, your permission slips and deposits are due today.

Tomorrow we will take the ACCUPLACER in two shifts. Your teachers have a list and we have it posted in the office. Be sure to apply for admission now to RLC at rlc.edu so that you can test.  See Mrs. Kissner if you have trouble submitting your RLC application on your chromebook.

Seniors, if you are going to Rend Lake College this fall, you will get a photo tomorrow at 9 am.  Go to the office now if you are going to RLC in August.

Seniors, Wayne County Corn Growers is due today and the $2500 JRD application is due Friday.

Mrs. Kissner has emailed your teachers a list of the two groups for the ACCUPLACER and there is a list posted in the office. Before the test, go to rlc.edu/admissions to do the New Student Enrollment Form. Please stop in Mrs. Kissner's office if you would like help with the application.  You will need your chromebook for testing. You may also bring your calculator and pencils to the test. There is free practice at khanacademy.org.

Seniors, TODAY is the day to turn in your Wayne White scholarships. The application is quick and easy! There will be a drawing for 10 winners! See Mrs. K if you need help getting your information or submitting your application. 

PieceMaker applications are due tomorrow. It is a short and simple application. They plan to give 2 scholarships.Give your application to Mrs. Braddock or Mrs. Kissner.

Seniors, your Kevin Dickey, Kathy Richardson, and WCHS Scholarship Foundation applications are due TOMORROW to Mrs. Kissner.  If you complete the WCHS Scholarship Foundation application and turn it in there is an extremely good chance that you will get $$$ for college or trade school.

If you are selling raffle tickets for the scholarship foundation, turn in your tickets and money to Mrs. Kissner as soon as possible. The drawing is April 28 at the fundraiser.

Freshmen, turn in your freshman career day permission form to your activity period teacher or to the office.  We leave school at 8:15 on Friday and will return for 4th period.

Today’s baseball game has been cancelled.  Coach has said that there will be practice indoors today.

The grade school PTO is having a hat day tomorrow.  You can wear a hat all day but you have to pay $1 for the privilege.

·         The Hutchison and Brach.Ward have been moved to Tuesday, April 2 for WCHS. Please turn these applications in at FNB or Bean Capital Banking Center if possible.

·         The Hunter Scholarship is due Wednesday, April 3. Chloe & Herb Weaver is due Thursday, April 4. 

The Allen Red Smith Ag Scholarship is due Thursday, April 3.  High school seniors and graduates may apply.

Seniors, the very important Hutchison and Brach/Ward scholarship applications for Wayne County students are due Tuesday.  Make sure that you follow each direction carefully on your Hutchison application. Turn in your application directly at Bean Capital Bank or FNB if possible.  If needed, you may give your application to Mrs. Kissner.

The Hunter Vocational Scholarship is due Tuesday. Don't miss out on this $1000 Wayne City scholarship for a variety of majors.

Seniors, the RLC Scholarship Foundation application is due Friday, March 1. Every senior who is thinking about going to Rend Lake College should fill this application out.  See Mrs. K if you need help.  Frontier Community College's application is due Friday, March 15.

All sophomores and juniors should attend the CEO presentation on Monday at 10:30 am in the performance gym. 

We will have meetings early next week to make sure everyone’s Chromebook works and they’re ready for PSAT/SATs. The meetings will use the following schedule:

Seniors: Check your email for details on the local Roger Johnson Memorial Conservation Scholarship.  As long as three WCHS students participate, one of you will win $500.  Applications must be received at their address no later than March 15.

We need students or parents who are willing to take money at the door during the Conrad Allen Tournament. See Mrs. Kelly to sign up for a time slot and date. Games will run from December 9th-16th.  ·         The WC FFA is holding a canned food drive for the elderly in our community. Each class will be collecting food until Thursday, December 14. Please bring in your canned goods to your class sponsors. The class with the most canned goods will be given a pizza party.

Reminders for all students: if you want lunch, sign up with your first hour teacher.  If you aren’t sure if you signed up, stop by the office before 9:30 and ask Mrs. Braddock.  Mrs. Bailey needs an accurate count so that she knows how much food to make.  High school is served before junior high and when we have students being served lunch that did not sign up, it could cause the kitchen to not have enough food for everyone that did sign up.

FCCLA will be offering cookie decorating for the little kids at the community building before the Christmas parade.  FCCLA members need to sign up to make the icing on Thursday or assist with the decorating Saturday.  The sign-up sheet is in Mrs. Miller's room.

Sophomores: You will be working concessions for the Junior High Boys holiday tournament next week.  Please sign up to work in Mrs. Griswold's room today.

Congratulation to our November Senior of the Month: McKayla Reynolds

Congratulations to Alexis Greene for being voted MTC co-player of the year, Cecilia Choate was voted to the all-conference team, and Kaylin Loker was an honorable mention.

Tomorrow is picture day for anyone that missed the first picture day, anyone that needs a retake, senior tux & drape, clubs and winter sports. Check your email for a list of clubs and sports.

Senior tux and drape pictures are November 10MUST WEAR a solid white t-shirt for tux pictures or ladies need a shirt such as a tank top that can be pulled off the shoulders for the picture without changing clothes. 

We are going to add SOME of the senior favorites to the bottom of the list for Friday. The following students need to come ready for a picture.
