We are now opening up JH baseball for 5th graders. If you have a 5th grade boy who is interested, practice is Monday from 5-7 p.m. They must have a current physical on file at the school. If you have any questions, contact the athletic director at jtalbert@waynecity100.org.

For the first two days of JH softball practice we have only had eight girls attend from grades 6-8. Because of this, we are opening softball to girls who are entering 5th grade. Due to the heavy rain, JH softball practice for today has been canceled. There will be practice tomorrow morning in the gym from 9-10:30 a.m.
Junior high softball practice begins Monday, July 27 from 9-10:30 a.m. Any interested girl going in to 6th-8th grade needs to have a physical on file at the school. If you have questions, email the athletic director at jtalbert@waynecity100.org.
Wayne City Seniors will be selling booster cards again to help pay for their DC trip. A few more Mt. Vernon restaurants have been added to the existing WC, Fairfield, and McLeansboro businesses!! Our current booster card expires at the end of July. Our new booster cards will be distributed to seniors within the first few days of school. We are so grateful for the support of the businesses and buyers!! The class of 2027 thanks you!!

Congratulations to Dawson Wood for being named the Midland Trail Conference Player of the Year in baseball! Coach Jaxon King was named MTC Coach of the Year! Marschell Mays and Logan Schuster made all conference honorable mention. Great recognition for a historic season where our baseball team was conference champions for the first time since 1978.

Our Wayne City Tribe and Brownsville Beagle athletes competed at State Summer Games in Bloomington. Kasen received 4th place in the softball throw and 2nd place in the 400 M run. Harlan received 5th place in the 50 M run and 2nd place in the softball throw. Jaycee received a gold medal in the 100 M run!!! Way to go athletes!
