Updated info: Monday, March 30th, we have a track meet at Fairfield. We have an early dismissal at 2 pm. Athletes can either go home, or go to the gym. Coach Griswold will be in the gym with them. We will be leaving the school at 3:00 for the track meet. I know that there are P/T conferences, and that it is also Freshman Orientation. If you need to take your athlete from the track meet, to be at these things, please sign them out. We will have a bus bringing those that do not have rides, back to WC when the track meet is over.

Prom Night 2026

Mrs Mays and Mrs Sowa took our high school to SIU and competed in a math competition. Freshmen earned honorable mention, sophomores 2nd, juniors 3rd, seniors 3rd. 800 students participated total. 38 schools. 14 small schools and our students placed 2nd. Congratulations!!

ThinkFirst - Southern Illinois presenters, Cori Maynor and Angela Moehring, came to Wayne City High School today and discussed traumatic brain injury. Cori discussed ThinkFirst's mission, which is to prevent brain, spinal cord, and other injuries through education, research, and advocacy. Angela, a traumatic brain injury survivor, shared about her accident, her recovery, and how it affected her life today.
