2026 WCHS Volleyball Meeting
Thursday, May 28th, at 6:00 pm.
We will meet in the library.
ALL incoming freshmen-incoming seniors, please make an attempt to be there, with at least one parent.
Coach Griswold and Coach Clark will be giving out information on the summer schedule, vball camps/opportunities, etc. See you there!
Today, Friday, May 22, is regular dismissal time. Tuesday, 5/27, is a 2pm dismissal.

StrongHER is available for all WCHS Freshmen – Senior female athletes!

Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm (StrongHER will follow right after Volleyball Open Gyms on conflicting dates!)
NO CLASS 6/29 – 7/10 (StrongHER will resume 7/13)

Learn proper movement patterns (squats, hinge, etc.)
Improve agility and athletic performance
Build confidence in both female athletes and their sports

The WCHS Softball regional game scheduled for today (5/18) has been postponed until tomorrow (5/19).
This Saturday is the PTO BBQ Sale and pick up day for preorders.

On Friday, May 1st, Wayne City High School celebrated Senior Awards Day. In all, $397,153 was given to high school seniors and recent graduates. A BIG THANK YOU to all the businesses, organizations, and individuals who have generously given and helped ease the financial burden for our students.
On Senior Awards Day, we announced the Senior of the Year for Wayne City High School - Alayna White.
In addition, Lea Neff was honored for her 24 years on the Wayne City High School Scholarship Foundation. She was a part of the Foundation since its inception. The WCHS Scholarship Foundation has given $1,234,938.22 over the past 24 years, and this year gave $121,100 to seniors and graduates of Wayne City High School.

Congratulations to Brody Rentfrow for receiving the Wayne County CEO Award - Most Improved Young Professional and Jacey Smith for receiving the award for Best Booth at the Wayne County CEO Trade Show.
Feeding Kids of Wayne County is a free food program for ages 2-18. It runs from 5/25/26 thru 8/7/26
