Wayne City high school took 13 students to compete at ACES at Rend Lake College. Eowyn is taking home second place in computer science and Alayna is taking home third in math! Great job!


Thanks to everyone who donated pop tabs for the FCCLA Ronald McDonald House drive. We collected over 150lbs! The top classes were 1st place Mrs. Staley, 2nd Mrs. Bailey, 3rd Mrs. Childers & 4th Mrs. Fagan. Mrs. Staley's class won an ice cream party!

Congratulations to Mrs. Staley's 4th grade for collecting the most pop tabs for FCCLAs collection to send to the Ronald McDonald House.

With the JH boys scheduled to play their first round game at the state tournament at RLC this Friday, February 7 at 3:30 pm, school will be dismissed at 2:00 pm on Friday. Due to scheduling conflicts we will not be able to provide a fan bus. Hope you can join us to pack the stands!

For sophomores and juniors, the application is NOW OPEN for you to sign up if you are interested in doing CEO next year. Sarah Rush is the facilitator of our local CEO group and does a fantastic job working with the students, setting up business visits, and helping the students grow in communication, leadership, and business skills.

Congratulations to the Wayne City Jr. High Boy's Basketball team on beating Woodlawn 31-17 to win the Region 8 Class M regional!! They advance to state and will play Friday at 3:30.

Congratulations to Kenna Anselment who was recognized this past weekend by Representative Mike Bost for being a 2025 Service Academy Nominee. This nomination is an honor and a step towards achieving her future goals.
