Eowyn Smith represented Wayne City today at the sectional ACES academic competition. After waiting a few hours for results, they told us due to technical difficulties we will not know results today. We will update once we do! Good job Eowyn!


These community presentations sponsored by ROE #20 are this week. Tuesday 3/11 at Eldorado High School Cafeteria and Wednesday 3/12 at Center Street Middle School Gymnasium. Both presentations are adult only events. There is free admission and door prizes !

Spin for Cash is a reward based program focused on attendance for all high school students. Students need to be present, with no tardies, for the week prior to the drawing to be selected. Winners for this week: Kenzie Seidel and Caylan Piper. Congratulations!


Congratulations to our high school fresh/soph team. They were undefeated today and won the Fresh/Soph tournament in Odin.


Congratulations to Haden Moore for being named Senior of the Month for March.


These students were selected to attend the Illinois Principal Association breakfast for outstanding character and leadership. Crocker Burge, Kash Newton, Madalynn Howard, Cooper Wilson and Pierce Bryan. Congratulations!!

Junior high scholar bowl had their second match of the season. They picked up a loss against Jasper and then a win against Geff. Their standing is 2-2.

6th-8th grade Sweetheart Dance is this Friday, 3/07. Tickets are $5 and all donations are welcome. Permission slips must be signed. Only students of Wayne City school are allowed to attend. Coronation will be at 8pm. Let us know if you will help set up/take down or chaperone!

Congratulations to Jacob Thomason for being selected as the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) Outstanding Citizen for WCHS. This prestigious award is designed to honor outstanding seniors who exemplify good citizenship, leadership, cooperation, dependability, congeniality, and patriotism.


FCCLA attended the Section meeting recently. Kaylee Bullard was elected Section Vice President of Foundation & competed in Personal Child Care Provider Portfolio which she received Silver.Alayna White was elected Section Vice President of Community Service. Congratulations girls!
