Mrs. Miller's Food Science class is studying a unit on energy & how heat is transferred this week. Students completed a successful lab using a solar oven to make brownies. Yummy!



The Lady Braves opened their season with a JV and V win over Jasper.











Lady Indians move to 24-5 with a win over Altamont on Senior Night!










Busy night in the gyms with the junior high boys opening their season with a varsity win against Bluford and high school volleyball taking the varsity set in 3 against Mt. Carmel.

To clear any confusion-tomorrow is school wide retake picture day and fall sports pictures! Please see past posts regarding JH and HS pictures so your students brings everything they need tomorrow, 10/21!

High school students bring sports uniforms including shoes and club shirts/official dress for picture day tomorrow. Retakes and senior tux and drape pictures will be taken so they need to wear a solid white shirt for the tux or a shirt to pull off the shoulder for the drape

Orders due Monday!


The 7th grade art class scarecrow competition concluded today. The class was able to raise $1,100.66 to help victims of the recent hurricanes. 1st place- Frankenstein
2nd place- Charlie Brown
3rd place- Winifred Sanderson
4th place- Jack Skellington

Over 400,000 Illinois K-12 schools participated in the Great Lakes Apple Crunch last week and Wayne City School was one of them! Students enjoyed crunching on a local apple at lunch. #ILGreatAppleCrunch #GWFoodCouncil





Kindergarten had donuts with Deputy Taylor. He made them honorary deputies for the afternoon. To go along with their transportation study, he also took them out to share information about his sheriff's truck.











Reminder: GS/JH picture retake day and fall sports pictures are Monday, 10/21! Being taken are: Girls/Boys Basketball, Cross Country, Cheerleading and Jr. Beta Club. BRING YOUR UNIFORMS! Pictures will start 1st thing in the morning.
