Today was the first meeting of the Finance Club for the school year, led by Connor Gerrish. Connor discussed how investing money early can build wealth and explained The Rule of 72. He also discussed inflation. This year, the club will focus on budgeting, saving, investing, credit, and more.

Juniors, please sign up in the office if you would like to take the PSAT on Thursday, October 23rd at Wayne City High School. The PSAT is helpful if you plan to take the SAT in the future. Also, you will enter the National Merit Scholarship Program, an academic competition for recognition and scholarships conducted by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

Tomorrow, 8/29, is an 11:30 dismissal! All changes must be made by 10:30am.
Seniors and Parents: MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the FAFSA COMPLETION EVENT on TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7TH from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Completing a FAFSA or a waiver is a requirement for graduation. The 2026–27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form will be available to everyone at the beginning of October. This is a come-and-go event. A Rend Lake College Financial Aid Department representative will be here that evening to answer questions and provide any assistance needed.
