The JV team came up short in their game against Lovejoy but worked hard the entire game.









The Varsity Indians defeated Thompsonville in their opening game of the Conrad Allen Tournament. This will be a week full of great high school basketball. Come watch the action!









WCHS boys basketball and cheer team won the WC Matters Christmas Parade.

Cisne kicks off the 69th Annual Conrad Allen Tournament with a 67-64 win over Linton-Stockton. There are 3 more games today with Wayne City Varsity playing at 3:00 and WC JV at 4:30.



Congratulations to Khloe Gregory!! She got 2nd place in the 8/9 year old girls division at the ELKS County Hoop Shoot today.


The Southern Illinois Coaches Association released their All-South Volleyball team members. Congratulations to Alexis Greene on being named to the team. We are proud of how you represent our program and Wayne City.

Most of the WCHS boys basketball team went to cheer on former teammate, Justin Durham, as he played for Rend Lake College Warriors last night.


Wayne City FFA is hosting a Battle of the Classes food drive. The class with the most cans collected will receive a pizza party!

Tis the season for Christmas art Camp. Students enjoyed making things such as salt dough ornaments, Christmas themed puffy paint art and faux stained glass ornaments this past Saturday. They also sipped hot chocolate while sporting their Ugly Christmas apparel.











Our Special Olympics athletes competed in individual basketball skills at Carmi last Friday. Athletes were scored on passing skills, shooting skills, and dribbling. Kasen Thomason received a silver medal. Jaycee Youngblood, Whitney Lambert, and Harlan West each received a gold medal and will advance to the State Basketball Competition in March. So proud of each of our athletes! Way to go Wayne City Tribe!!
